Tyler was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School and the Carpentry program at CPACTC. He recently visited CPACTC as a technician working in our Logistics and Warehouse Management program, to repair a forklift. We took the opportunity to catch up with him while he was here working.
Describe the company or industry in which you currently work.
“I am a Scale Technician. I Install, Repair and Calibrate Scales.”
What other employment have you had related to your program areas at CPACTC?
“I haven’t done anything else related to this area. I have done warehouse work, landscaping and hardscaping.”
What additional education and training did you receive after leaving CPACTC? Where? Did CPACTC prepare you?
“No other additional training besides on the job training. Cumberland Perry did teach me everything I need to know to work in Carpentry.”
How was Cumberland Perry different than your regular high school?
“I always looked forward to coming to CPACTC to learn each day.”
How has your industry changed?
“It always changes, they are making new tools and using new techniques to do work all the time.”
What is your favorite CPACTC memory?
“Going to the PA Builder’s Show.”
